Our take
I've been using the MCX8000 for a few weeks now, and it's a solid workhorse for Serato DJ. The 4-channel layout and built-in mixer make it convenient for live sets. The jog wheels feel responsive, and the 16 pads are great for hot cues and loops. However, the unit is quite large and heavy, so it's not the most portable option. Also, the maximum sampling rate is only 24-bit/48kHz, which is fine for most gigs but not cutting-edge. The XLR outputs are a plus for connecting to club systems. Overall, it's a reliable controller for intermediate to advanced DJs who need four decks and don't mind the bulk.
